The mission of Los Niños Learning Center is to promote health,positive self-esteem, and the social well being of each child.  Selecting the right child care program is a very important and difficult process. We want you to be sure that you have chosen the right center for your child’s needs. The following are answers to the questions we are often
asked by prospective parents:

• We are a bilingual and bi-cultural learning center.

• We have two sites conveniently located in center-city Allentown.

• Los Niños is licensed by the Department of Public Welfare and
the Allentown Health Bureau.

• Parents are encouraged to participate in their child(ren)’s learning activities.

• All staff members are educationally trained according to DPW
guidelines and have CPR certifications.

• We accept Title XX, DPW, and private payments.

• Los Niños is a part of the Keystone Stars program.  We are in the process of earning our NAEYC accreditation.

                                 

Programs                                                                

Our children participate in activities that stimulate imagination and learning.

Infant Activities:
• Language is encouraged through books and storytelling
• Science is learned through sensory experiences of sight, smell, hearing, taste and feel.
• Gross Motor skills such as climbing and rolling build physical development
• Sharing and playing together encourage social development by adapting to the day to day activities.
• Music is taught through dancing, singing, and clapping.

Toddler and Pre-school Activities:

• Los Niños is part of CYBERSTART, a computer learning program.
• Large, small and gross motor skills are developed. Gym days especially encourage physical activities
• Books, “Show & Tell,” puppet time, and storytelling all encourage language
Development.
• Science is explored through sensory experiences, understanding directions, and
visual discrimination.
• Playing, sharing, accepting responsibility, verbalizing, and self-concept are all
factors in social development that are highly encouraged.
• Health awareness is taught through nutrition and awareness of good health habits.
• Instruments, dancing and singing all are part of music appreciation.
• Arts & Crafts are explored through drawing, painting, and coloring.

We serve children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.

Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks are served.
