HAO’s Housing Counseling Program is sponsored by:

Lehigh County Department of Aging and Adult Services

We can provide:

• Information and referral services for housing related programs.
• Translations and services to help you deal effectively with your landlord
• Help in finding decent, affordable housing
• Education in areas such as budgeting, time management and goal planning.
• Rental assistance (when funding permits).

The main goal of the program is to help you find a good home where you can stay and raise your family. We will also help you deal with your landlord in solving problems that arise. Your Housing Consultant will continue to work with you after you have moved in to your new home for up to one year. We can help you with budgeting, counseling, referral to training and job placement. Referrals will be made to other local agencies for those who need services not provided by the Hispanic American Organization. We want to make sure that you have the necessary skills to maintain a permanent home.
