For over 40 years, the Hispanic American Organization has worked to improve the lives of people living in the Lehigh Valley. Today, HAO stands as a premiere social service and community center that provides direct services in a number of areas, including housing, employment, education, nutrition, parenting skills, and mental health and substance dependency counseling.

We Change

Lives.

"Since 1976, HAO has been proving that education is the

foundation for stronger families and more prosperous communities."

ABOUT

Track record of success.

Providing top-flight social services with compassion since 1976.

HAO was founded by Lupe Pearce to serve the Latino community of the Lehigh Valley. Started in a one-room office on Chew Street with $50 in seed money, HAO has always used its core principles to guide its work--promoting self-reliance and stressing actions that make positive impacts in our society.

SERVICES

We reach the community.

Our programs are offered to HAO clients to improve their lives.

We offer a variety of services that reflect the changing needs of the growing Latino community. As a fully bilingual agency, we offer all counseling and training in English and Spanish, in a culturally-sensitive environment. We believe that stable housing and employment are the keys to success for our clients.
